Kings:  Are Christians referred to as Kings and Priests?

The answer is yes.  Revelation 1:5, 6Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father”. Notice this is not something we haven’t yet attained; God has made us kings and priests now in this life.

Notice I Peter 2:9ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation”. Being priests then, we must have something to offer. I Peter 2:5Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ”. Paul in Romans 12:1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service”. This means that we (Christians) use our bodies to serve God. Or as Jesus said If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow meLuke 9:23.  As priests we are to offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his nameHebrews 13:15.  Doing good is also considered a sacrifice. Hebrews 13:16to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

We must put God first in our life, regardless of what it might cost us.
